DJSI WORLD ENLARGED - KEY FACTS
- The Dow Jones Sustainability World Enlarged Index (DJSI World Enlarged)
comprises more than 500 companies that represent the top
20% of the sustainability leaders out of the largest
2500 companies in the Dow Jones Global Total Stock Market Index.
- In addition to the composite DJSI World Enlarged, there is a specialized index available excluding companies that generate revenue from alcohol, tobacco, gambling, armaments & firearms and adult entertainment (DJSI World Enlarged ex All/AE). This set of indexes was published on 30 November 2010.
- The DJSI World Enlarged and the DJSI World Enlarged ex All/AE are free float market
capitalization-weighted — i.e. based on the number
of free float shares outstanding for each of the component
stocks.
- The DJSI World Enlarged and the DJSI World Enlarged ex All/AE are reviewed annually
with the component changes implemented on the third Friday
in September and effective on the next trading day.
- Changes in the components and the industry group classification
due to the annual review are announced in the first week
of September.
- In addition to the annual review, the ongoing review
of the DJSI World Enlarged and the DJSI World Enlarged ex All/AE ensures that extraordinary corporate actions
— e.g., delisting, bankruptcy, merger, takeover and
important changes in the corporate sustainability performance
— affecting the composition of the index are accounted
for in an appropriate and timely manner.
